Three workshops lead up to an open invitation to improvise with the festival as concert. Joe Colley specialises in hotwired sound constructions full of ominous electronic disturbances and caustic, noxious drones. For KYTN, Joe created a situation of controlled chaos with 50 light sensitive oscillators placed in a field of candles.
Merzbow takes the junk of sound and transforms it into blistering noise assaults with an incredible spectrum and impact.
William cradles, hammers, and rains down blows, plucking and using 2 bows to attack the strings above and below the bridge, all in the service of a fiery and passionate creativity.
