For 15 years the Boredoms’ specialised in a legendary and manic post punk explosion of disaffected youth. Finally in 1999 they achieved international acclaim with the release of Super AE and its attendant shift in focus to studio manipulations, layers of bombastic guitar noise, insane bursts of tape manipulation and the wax and wane of desperate screams and urgent percussion. It’s follow up, Vision Creation Newsun, cemented them as the most urgently experimental avant-rock act currently recording. Their performance at instal03 will be only their second in the UK since the release of those recordings.
