Join Sex Workers For Decrim for a sex worker only collective art workshop and be part of creating a massive visual timeline of sex worker resistance in Scotland.

As part of the Hard Labour project they’re creating a large poster which will wrap around the walls of Transmission Gallery, to be shown in August 2026, throughout their weekend of sex worker resistance and joy, and kept for future public displays.

The work will chart governmental law, its impact on the lives of sex workers, and the many forms of resistance and solidarity which came about in response – from organised demos to everyday acts of kindness and solidarity. Tracing Scotland’s history of sex worker resistance from the Contagious Disease Act of 1864, through the present, and into an imagined future of our dreams.

Join them for another chill but energising session where you can contribute both stories/opinions/ anecdotes from your own working life & multi-media visual art (paint, collage, inks etc) to the timeline.

All art-making materials provided.

Snacks provided.

No booking required – folks are free to just drop by but need to have lived experience of sex work.
