Robert Lippock
Robert Lippock
To Rococo Rot member Robert Lippok presents for the first time in the UK with his solo project. Robert has worked with the likes of St Etienne and Barbara Morgenstern and his clean, technological sound is extended in his solo work by the use of analogue field recordings, digital remains and cultural fragments.
ReadRobert Lippok, is maybe better known for his pseudo post-rock / electronica excursions with Tarwater and To Rococo Rot. This, however, will be the first time he’s played in the UK solo. This work to date includes his acclaimed Open Close Open EP, but by the time Instal comes round he will be shaping up to release a new album on the City Centre Offices label. His solo work is quite removed from his other bands’ output: pared down and rhythmical, a few micro-second laptop samples, clicks and pops, with the addition of a gaggle of ducks quacking, door slamming, fragments of, perhaps Mahler.
We started documenting our events in 2003 so unfortunately there is no video or audio documentation of this performance. If you have a bootleg or any photos you’d like to share with us, we would love to see them: get in touch with us here.
