Tugnet Ice House, Spey Bay, 25th June 06

arrive for 7:30pm, show starts at 8:00pm

The largest industrial ice house in Scotland, Tugnet is perched at the mouth of the River Spey, and unsurprisingly, it’s bloody freezing. But it’s also a charming collection of 6 chambered rooms and a great acoustic environment, its high arched ceilings full of decay, the linked rooms inviting musicians to explore the changing echoes as they move around.

Tugnet Ice House is part of The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society Wildlife Centre in Spey Bay, Morayshire. Spey Bay can be reached by turning North onto the B9104 less than half a mile West of Fochabers, before you cross the River Spey. The visitors centre has a café and toilets, and the Ice House is fully accessible.
