Hannah Proctor is the author of Burnout: The Emotional Experience of Political Defeat (Verso, 2024). She teaches history at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and is currently working on a new project on the long 1990s and the ‘end of history’. She recently organised the conference Political Pathologies: Psychic Life between resistance and restraint, and is a member of the Radical Philosophy editorial collective. She is currently interested in revenge.
