Hosted by Scotland for Decrim – a grassroots campaign fighting for the full decriminalisation of sex work in Scotland. We’re a welcoming group, whose members are both people with lived experience of sex work and allies.
Hard Labour is a spark flying from the past into the future – from the fire of our long history of sex worker resistance, the flame of our current struggles to the warmth of our future dreams.
Hard Labour is collective action, a labour of love, a welcome to make art.

An excavation of the 1805 Lock Hospital in Glasgow. Its official function was to support ‘unfortunate females with venereal disease’, but really what happened was that women and girls were marched in, experimented on, and often never released.
