The performance arm of Resonance FM, the world’s leading radio art station. “A radio station like no other. A radio station that makes public those artworks that have no place in traditional broadcasting. A radio station that is an archive of the new, the undiscovered, the forgotten, the impossible…”¹
Listening to the radio isn’t like other kinds of listening: our attention drifts from and returns to it as we go about our everyday lives. Could we imagine radio that inverts this relationship, listening to and drifting between the incidental activities of its listeners’ everyday lives, reacting to and broadcasting them back to be listened to again.
There are core ways in which our listening to the radio differs from other kinds of listening. What happens when we pay attention to how we pay attention?

Good natured warning – Resonance are going to listen to KYTN and to the everyday, incidental background chatter they can hear there; this might include your background chatter. Short clips of the recordings they make will be used as the starting point for actors and musicians to respond to during the performance.
